Question to Riot and the Community: Should the minimap be locked to spells?

This might be my bad play but in the heat of a battle it has happened to me more than once that i accidentally clicked the minimap and my spell went completely awry!

I love using the minimap for movement and for pings, but i think one shouldnt be able to initiate a smartcast or spell on the minimap.

What is your thought on this?
