smite or dota?
have any of you played either of these? which one is more fun?
i've never played a moba besides league and i think i should try a new one.

I've never played Dota but I have played smite, it was quite fun, but I enjoy Paragon more because it seems more well done.
I've never tried my hand at Dota, don't really want to personally.
I have played Smite however, even own the 30 buck pack that unlocks all the gods right off the bat (amazing feature btw, damn you riot and your nasty IP!) but the issue is it feels more difficult or something. And people seem to AFK a lot more often then they do on League. I can't even play anything outside of the Arena mode without someone throwing a hissy fit soon as they die and leaving us in a 4v5 to get stomped. Heck, the last game I can recall playing was a 3v5 because two people just bailed over first blood.
And you want to talk about towers feeling like tissue paper in League? Oh boy, Smite feels worse (or they're even in that regard and I'm just exaggerating, can't tell). Least they're not as squishy as Heroes of the Storm's towers.
Despite all that, the gods are all varied and interesting to play, it's just difficult to get a fair, balanced, fun game in; too many AFKs ruined it for me. I want to get back into it, but it's definitely harder to latch on for me.
