No, i'm not the one using it while playing, i'm not a baffoon. It's kinda impossible to know when your room mates are going to just obliterate the entire bandwidth

sounds like you need two modems... split the connection speed and have one for gaming and one for everything else
typical at home connections are like 50mbps if not higher.... you can do that and have no lost in your connection best of luck
I just pay for my own internet connection.
It has simplified matters greatly.
Really the simplest way around this problem is to ask ur buddy if he's gonna be streaming and then play either before or after.
