Why don't more people buy frozen mallet?
It gives you 700 hp, which is good in itself if you want to be a bruiser, and a perma slow. I commonly buy it and 
together, it makes it really hard for people to fight you.

usually because it's not a good counter. if they have a ability that does so and so percent of your health mallet would be useless in preventing damage. it might even cause more damage than it does. let's just say 10% ad ability. originally you have 1500. you take 150. with mallets +700. you take 70 more damage. i'd suggest getting armor in stead of health. just a hybrid of damage and armor would be good. it could also prevent more damage since with more health you take the same amount of damage anyway. but with armor and magic resist you can actually reduce auto damage and ability damage. i usually go with armor and magic resist and trust me. its so easy to tank when you have 200 armor and 200 magic resist. they cant do anything. you can probably surivive a bunch of turret shots too. then get life steal and its like gg tanking is so easy
There's a very small selection of champions who both use the stats well and are auto attack based for most of their damage. The main two that come to mind when I think about it is Trundle and Volibear, and there are far better options for them.
