"X Rioter made a bad gameplay design in my opinion and therefore should lose their job!"

Jesus Christ people, you sound like the assholes who order from a chain restaurant, cuss out the employees and want people to lose their livelihood because they forgot a topping on your Pizza. Chill the fuck out.

No a Rioter doesn't deserve to be fired and lose their position at the company because you dislike a balance change they made or rework they worked on. I would hate for you to have to deal with people like yourself at your job. Or perhaps you have never held a job and that is why you believe such treatment of other human beings is acceptable...

I see this all the time, just today in two different comments. And no, since name-and-shame is against the rules for good reason, I will not link them.

OMG, THIS THREAD IS SO TERRIBLE YOU SHOULD LOSE YOUR JOB AS A BOARDS POSTER!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!

Big Lincoln6/19/2017, 2:17:26 AM26 votes

i don't want them to lose their job

they should just appease me directly by videoing their signed confession, written perfectly while doing a handstand in a giant hamster ball, and if not, maybe they should be fired tbh

Claps It needed to be said.

It's fine to call out Riot on stuff they did, but it isn't your place in the slightest to scream for them to lose their job. Anybody who works in customer service can feel for these guys.

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS #fuckghostcrawleramiriteoramirite

My favorite, when it comes to the food industry, is when the person ordering is the one who forgot. You didn't want onions on your burger? Why didn't you order it that way..? Oh you forgot, well then stop yelling at me for your mistake please.

I don't get this pitchfork mentality and I'm glad I never will. Change happens whether you like it or not. If Riot doesn't like the change, they will revert it or change it till it works. But to demand someone to lose their livelihood over something that doesn't affect you personally? Too much wrong with that thought process..

apparently, rioters are capable of learning from their past mistakes. For example look at CertainlyT. He made the mistake of making Yasuo Kalista Thresh. But riot didnt fire him. He later made the Warwick rework that overwhelming majority of people liked.

I won't say Repertoir needed to be fired...

But I'll never forget how he handled the Malzahar rework

Claimed it was good

Went silent on it

And then Rickless had to be the one to come out and say Malz was getting a pseudo-revert

Yea... >_>

I think the most common complaint is at CertT, though I've heard people who critique his champions point out that they've enjoyed his style of reworks. The "lose their job" thing is extreme and is most likely exaggerated, but yeah people who are paying to keep this game alive have a right to critique it. The boards could use some cleaner language though, if someone made it against the rules to demand a Rioter's job and all of those threads were insta deleted I wouldn't lose a night's sleep.

Though if a certain designer has a pattern of leading projects that result in designs that are toxic (or at least percieved as such), the Gameplay boards with specific feedback about what went wrong are where it should go. If the game is being made worse and worse for a player they need some way of having a voice.

Well, you've over-exaggerated the comparison.

It's more like yelling at management for an employee spitting in your food at the table when you're a regular customer and it's only that employee who does this.

If they're consistently making such mistakes despite constant feedback from thousands of people and then blatantly ignoring the fact they've made a mistake, they need to be fired.

Some of us are just messing around, sadly we often get mixed up with some seriously salty people.

For instance, I really hate S7 jungle and joke about firing whoever made it. In my case it's a joke, a "funny" way to express real discontent.

Look, no offense but your post is lowkey offensive to Rioters, although unintended.

I mean do you really think people who studied and have done their jobs proffessionally take some random assholes seriously, knowing damn well that they didn't think their accusations and punishments through at the time of writing?

Ofcourse they know this! No sensible person would fire another because a random individual would just say so with babyrage as backup. Rioters aren't idiots and neither are their supervisors who are also Rioters.

I felt like this and bad for the Rioter who had the handle the Sing/Nunu support situation and got so much back lash that they called for his/her job, people don't understand that YES you can play non meta support of course but when you are in rank the situation is different because it effects 4 of your team Elo/LP. Non of his team knew the play style of these guys and they clearly don't know how to play partner up with these type of support both of these players actually left lane non stop to invade jungle leaving a situation where a adc had to face 2 people alone, for the Nunu support guy he was toxic as fk and when his team ask him not to Nunu SMITE support he would usually don't give a fk and some times type it in.

I wished this Rioter who handle these 2 cases get a pat on the back for his/her hard work and ignore the people who said they should be fired the Rioter was force in a hard case that was actually hard to handle. For people who actually say they wouldn't mind Sing/Nunu smite are the type that would be piss if they had a game where their support is Teemo/Yasuo in a rank match.

Hope the Rioter see this and know that I felt like he/she did the best and shouldn't let these players get you down.

Mistakes have to be punished.

Someone must have assumed responsibility for all the bullshit that's happening. Or, if working at riot is: 'risk free', 'no responsibility', 'easy money'. Where do I apply?

Smitty Manjensen6/19/2017, 11:49:11 AM4 votes

What if a Rioter made several bad champ designs and possibly reworks, what then?

Dataless6/19/2017, 5:45:25 PM3 votes

Why validate this behavior by giving it a response?

Whut Thuh 6/19/2017, 6:04:33 PM3 votes

they sound like those assholes because they are those assholes

Eryenus6/19/2017, 5:38:50 PM1 votes

I agree with the board. Although i do believe the system is unbalanced i believe that Rioters should work on balancing more than working on new skins. I think that if you nerf some champions Draven Ekko Nautilus Ziggs Vayne Fiora Darius Illaoi Lulu
