Was there ever a support, adc, or mage meta?

ik there was a cancer cough cough excuse me, an assassin meta and im willing to bet money on there being a fighter/bruiser meta at one point and we are currently in the tank meta. Did supports, adc's or mages every have a meta like that or not?
