If only he had wards or a team to back him up... Seriously, bronze to silver and Gold 5,4, this might work like 2 of 3 times, any higher than that, you are pretty much up for suicide trying to get a hit of.

I've heard of people doing this but I don't understand the purpose of it. Why would a Sion suicide to jungle monsters?
