PSA: Best Tiers to Buy RP at (USD)
We all know you get a better deal if you buy more RP at a time, but just how much better of a deal are you getting? Let's look...
tl;dr at bottom in quote box
|Price...|RP Purchased... |RP per Dollar...|| |- |$5|650|130| |$10|1350|138| |$20|2800|140| |$35|5000|142.86| |$50|7200|144| |$100|15000|150|
This table becomes slightly easier to understand if you re-write it in terms of bonus RP only.
|Price...|Bonus RP... |Bonus RP per Dollar...|| |- |$5|0|0| |$10|80|8| |$20|200|10| |$35|450|12.86| |$50|700|14| |$100|2000|20|
Or instead, we can look at what the bonus RP is, in percentages. I'll also add in how much more you get than the previous tier (in percentages).
|RP Purchased...|Bonus RP... |% Bonus RP...|% Bonus more than previous...| |- |650|0|0%|0%| |1380|80|5.8%|5.8%| |2800|200|7.14%|1.35%| |5000|450|9%|1.86%| |7200|700|9.72%|0.72%| |15000|2000|13%|3.61%|
These are a lot of different ways of looking at and thinking about the pricing. Feel free to draw your own conclusions (and if they're insightful enough, I'll edit them in below), but I think there are some conclusions that we can all agree on:
Note: The more RP you spend, the better of a deal you get (see chart #1). The question is this: Is the deal better enough to be worth spending that extra money?
- $5 is NOT WORTH. You'll get way more out of $10 of RP and it's pretty cheap.
- "I don't want to spend $5 more." isn't a good reason to get a bad deal.
- $50 is NOT WORTH. You'd get almost as much RP/Dollar at $35.
- $50 is already a lot. At this point, you might as well save up for $100, where you'll get a significantly better deal.
- If you have the money, upgrading to $20 or $35 from $10 is WORTH.
- BUT don't sweat it if you don't have the money. It's not that worth.
- The $35 upgrade is MORE WORTH than $20 upgrade. Again, if you can afford it.
Edit: Summary chart:
|Price...|Worth?| |- |$5|NO| |$10|YES| |$20|YES| |$35|YES| |$50|NO| |$100|YES|
