Reminder to Riot that we haven't had anything big for a female champ in a long time

Last female champ was Jinx, a year ago Last female Legendary quality or higher skin was last Halloween Last female VU was Sivir a year ago, and that went...beavertoothfully.

Other than the recent massive Sona nerfs and the a few admittedly decent skins like Arcade MF and Riot Kayle, there hasn't been much for the ladies of LoL.

They already aren't allowed to have female non humanoid champs or skins that aren't just costume changes (make champs get to be robots, sea monsters, and predators, female champs just get to have changes of clothes, maybe with the occasional sexy water spirit or stripper cop) the least we could do is throw them a bone with half decent reworks and VUs. How long have Soraka and Poppy been waiting for reworks? Evelynn and Morgana for VUs? Heck we don't even know what female yordles are supposed to look like yet, because poppy and Trist have been retconned meglings for close to four years :/.

What does Ironstylus even do these days?

So, I can't really agree with you on this. Female champs far outnumber male champs in the game if I am not mistaken, Female champs overall have more skins and get most of the really cool ones (Popstar Ahri, Arcade MF, Atlantean Syndra). Also plenty of female champs this year have gotten skins even if they haven't been legendary or ultimate. (There are only 2 ultimate skins currently). Nidalee got a rework this year already as well, and other champs have waited far longer than Soraka and Poppy for reworks (Sion and Urgot). Not to mention the touching up of some of Nidalee's skins and the board wide splash art updates.

I do think you are quite mistaken. Back in the days of Zyra and Elise there really was an influx of female champions, leading to creating the term "babesplosion", but its not the case here. There are lots of male champions and monsters

That may be true, but saying female champs are neglected is a bit of an overstatement, seeing as how 2 nice new skins came out for them just this week and the fact that they do have most of the best skins in the game (IMO)

I know eve is getting one, but IMO there are champs more deserving of the VU right now. Her model isn't down right terrible like some of the older champs. And I'm not saying no new female champs, but the original post make it sound like they are down right neglected.

I think I can clear up the thing with reworks and skins.

Riot has many simultaneously ongoing projects for champions in need. They just ship whatever's ready first.

And you need to be understanding for people that have their favourites. We tend to have a funny grasp of justice. I for one, hoped for a Shyvana skin and that wouldnt be fair if she got one, would it

Fair enough, I just can't really look forward to any rework now that mid nida got rekt. RIP Mid Nidalee q.q you will be missed.

I have always hated mid alltilerydale to be honest and Im a big fan of her current state... but well, look at it from this point; change's not a thing everyone will take kindly to, but its always aimed to improve the experience of majority and once in a while there is a change to your favourite champion that you actually enjoy

If I play her top I just don't have fun, doesn't mean she isn't strong she is, I no longer have fun with the champ at the position she is intended for. Maybe one day a rework will benefit me, but so far all the reworks have been major letdowns as far as I have been concerned. It's sad 4 nida skins and I don't get to use them anymore. It may be aimed that way, but mid nidalee was always able to be played around and was her intended role I.E. Season 1 role. I wish who handled her rework would have though about preserving the original identity of the character. Completely unrelated but hey.

Now there, a trauma connected with losing a beloved champion is a serious case and completely justifies hijacking a thread.

But I think back in the season 1 bruiser nidalee was more of a thing than mid... I could be wrong, but I do remember her once being pick/ban for top which got her rework that pushed her towards mid.

If you dont like playing top, you should take her bot with a buddy of yours and make a kill lane. Or better yet, go jungle Nidalee in a normal game. Tried it, its pretty funny.

I may, I've never had fun with her as support though, she falls off super hard late game now as support, especially since rework. Maybe jungle, I mean, I can make mid nida work, it's just not rewarding to me anymore, I really liked the idea they had about increasing her spear speed, right now hitting a spear at mid isn't rewarding because of the harsh dmg nurfs and most mids have a good mobility move to escape it since it is way too slow and just doing something like increasing the speed and maybe lowering the cost a bit could really help mid nidalee.

Lets not forget it could quite possibly make top nidalee broken.

I dont know. As long as your problem with current Nidalee is that you dont get to throw spears for over 1000 damage and won objectives, I cant help you. If you have problems building her full ap (which is quite possible), try DFG, Rylais and RoA on her. I havent played her enough to act as an expert, but I did notice some assasin-ish and bruiser-ish patterns in her new playstyle and those items should help with it while keeping the ap build path.

I'm not asking for a dmg buff on her spear, only speed buff to help land since the AP was GREATLY reduced. Take away some of her AD buffs in response to the speed buff and I think that would be quite fair.

So, I can't really agree with you on this. There are 41 female champs out of 120. So just over a third, not quite outnumbering.

Also Soraka, And Tristians were released at the same time as Sion and they and Poppy predate Urgot funnily enough. So uh. Want to rethink that?

Poppy and soraka both see tons more play than sion or urgot. and both soraka and poppy look way better than poppy or urgot, so no, I don't really want to rethink that lol.

Let's go point by point.

Females "far outnumber" males- wrong. Twice as many males as females Females have more skins-also wrong Females get the best skins-opinion Male champs have waited longer for reworks-nobody has waited longer for a rework than Trist who isn't in the original set Poppy and Trist look better-opinion again. But Trist has four animations (idle, walk, auto, crit) and poppy has the same number, equivalent to Sion and old twitch and Karthus. Only Kassadin has a more static, boring model than poppy because he's the last model in game without a real walk animation.

Also: Skins! There have been 32 skins released in 2014. 10 Have been for female champions. "But muh popstar"- not released in 2014.

8 Female skins in 950 tier, 9 male skins in 950 tier including the entirely re voiceovered Prime Time Draven. 1 female skin in 750 tier, 6 male skins. The entire world cup skin event included no females. 1 female skin in 1350 tier, 6 male skins. The female skin was garbage queen Lissandra. Theres another 1350 male skin in production too, cyber yasuo. 0 female 1820 skins, 1 male skin with 1 more planned (rumble and Veigar).

But how many skins were released that drastically changed the champions feel and appearance, and not just their outfit?

Well let's see....Atlantean syndra, we went from a shadow mage to a water mage, that was cool. And Riot Kayle, angel to riot police, very nice. Oh, Arcade MF, got a very neat theme shift. Blade Queen Liss went from...ice to pointy with no real feel shift to the character. Not really easy to do with liss though given that her "theme" is "blue."

But uh....Debonair Vi, Heartseeker Ashe, woad quinn, river nami, Lunar Diana, Warring Riven... All just outfit and slight particle changes.

Meanwhile Mecha aatrox mecha malphite cyber yasuo super galaxy rumble void fizz scorched earth renekton dragonslayer panth primetime draven soulstealer vlad final boss veigar and battlecast velkoz.

Debonair Vi is worlds better than Ezreal. Atlantean syndra is amazing as a skin. Popstar Ahri is recent enough and much more popular than most other skins that came out. Most people will tell you that the splash arts for both Mecha skins are 1000 times better than the skin itself. Soulstealer vlad is meh if you don't like the champion. Riot Kayle is a really awesome skin, if you don't like it that's a personal problem and not riot ignoring female champs because YOU don't like a skin. Arcade MF is a skin the community really wanted and Riot did a really good job with it! Heartseeker Ashe is amazing as well, River Nami is awesome, Lunar Diana is just freaking amazing. All of those really REALLY well done skins beat out Void Fizz? (Why you brought up that skin I won't know) Scorched Earth Renek (meh) the only skin I would say is on par with the female skins released would be Final Boss Veigar. I get it, you want more female things, but don't act like Riot neglects them, the last music video released for a champ was Jinx. That was also the first, and only music video for a champ. Riot must not think male champs would want music videos too huh? My argument is that I'm not against more female skins or champs, but the ones Riot have released are amazing, regardless of your PERSONAL Opinion on the matter, as you attacked me for earlier. So Riot is far from neglecting females in the league of legends.

My point is not that I don't like the skins they've put out in the last year for female champs.

It's that Riot has put in FAR less effort for the female champs in the past year than they have with male champs.

When was the last time a female champ got a skin with a new VoiceOver? Forecast Janna.

Since then we've had Primetime Draven, SG Rumble, Final Boss Veigar, and all the mecha skins with new voice effects. There hasn't been a skin for a female champ that's had more than model tweaks and new particles in over a year and a half. The only 1350 skin, Blade Queen Lissandra, still talks about ice and freezing and all that crap despite completely changing her theme.

Whether you like the skins or not, there's really no denying the fact that tweaking and recipient bits of a champ's model does not equal the effort of creating an entirely new model, animations, and particles. I just don't get where you can say that Riot hasn't been neglecting female champs in 2014 when you look at the level of effort out into skins, when the priority list for VUs is all male and has been since Sivir, and we haven't had a female champ release in over a year.

We have only had 4 champs! lol. I can see where you are trying to come from, but it appears most people disagree with you. Riot has not neglected female champs.

I think its more about the slow champion release... Jinx was a year ago alright but how many champions where actually released since then? But I do support the message.

I want to point out that I dont quite disagre with Sona getting "massive nerfs".
Also, female champions get plenty of serious skins too and saying that River Spirit is a "sexy" type of skin reqiures a bit of bias (not that its not a sexy skin)

But Im all for new content for female champions
