What's the point in going past Gold 5?

I decided to climb to Platinum because it was honestly easier for me than playing normal games by the end of last season.

I was primarily getting matched with Diamond players in normal games (with some Platinum and Master players included), so I legitimately had an easier time learning champions and roles in Ranked.

Though, it is nice for bragging rights and adding extra weight behind your opinions. Platinum is generally regarded as the lowest "high ELO" tier even if we still suck compared to Diamond and Master players in many respects.
