I left a game that was going down hill. Blah blah whatever.
So now I have to wait 5 minutes before my next 5 ques. Essentially its like being on time out if you sit there and watch it. Really? Just seems like a waste of time. I play this game a lot in squeezes where I have about an hour, would rather see the old 30 minute penalty in one chunk.
Still seems excessive for 1 leave in 20 games though.

As much as I hate the fact that they're punishing like this... that's the point. The point IS for it to be punishing to people who get hit by it. A punishment that you'd 'prefer' isn't a very good punishment. So I guess that means it worked.
I agree, instead you should be penalized for the length of the game that you left. If your team held on for another 40 minutes without you, you would receive a 40 minute penalty and the penalties stack every time you afk on a game, so 40 minutes with that one game, next game you AFK on adds another 40 and so on. By the time you leave three games you're waiting an 120 minutes to play! That way AFK's would get sick of trying to queue and just uninstall. RITO PLEASE!
