tl;dr on Oct. 6th vBulletin will be shut down, marking the full transition over to the Boards.

Personally I feel a warning of only 5 days for such a large shake-up to the forum-base is too short. But I will also say I'm bias as most of my larger activities here are measured in weeks if not months, and I know I'm not the only one. But, either way, the posts have been made and the appropriate preparations have assumingly been made behind the scenes.

With this MASSIVE rise in traffic I will also speculate to say that some new features that have been hinted as being "limited by the low number of votes and general traffic" will be let loose between now and then. We will see shortly!

I'm just hoping that riot hires a buncha moderators to prevent the circlejerk of GD from taking hold here. I'm expecting these forums to be filled with spam rather quickly.

yea, the white/blacklist thing is sth. they still could learn from F.E.K.. not showing specific sub-boards in the general board-overview would be an interessting idea aswell, I agree.

EUW and OCE aren't gonna change yet though. I just hope you can still talk between regions in the boards since that was something that was missing in the old forums (I'm EUW so I'm biased :P)

I know that the Boards aren't going to be coalesced into one single board but I can't imagine them blocking off international accounts from the NA Boards.

Woah woah woah, calm down.

I'm not a red, so take everything I say with a grain of salt, no givens.
What I meant was that I believe that the NA Boards won't be the end all be all forums, there will be separate EU, EUW, etc etc Boards primarily for lingual reasons BUT other servers can still access NA at the same time.

Lol no problem, it's an exciting and (at least for me) somewhat intimidating change. Completely understandable to be worried.
