As I understood it, the EXP was removed because people were abusing the refer a friend system. So why did IP get tossed out if you aren't with X amount of people? It's a good place for beginners to practice their skills while building up a roster (or saving for runes) without ruining other people's games.
MackleDoge1 votesMy guess is they didn't want to confuse new comers with getting IP but not XP? Not sure, I can't really think of anything that has a strong amount sense to it. Maybe they wanted to encourage newer players to play Co-op VS AI? Or find other new players to practice in custom games with?
Pryotra1 votesbecause apparrantly some people found a superior way to farm IP in these matches. Simply put enough bots to fill the game, go take a 3 hr walk, come back and repeat.
Can't have people getting IP TOO efficiently, now can we?

Pryotra1 votesThese people reportedly got around that by having a REALLY basic script just run them down mid repeatedly.
They usually chose slow champions, didn't buy anything, and didn't use spells of any kind. This extended the game by slowing their feeding. Even though they still lost a large majority of their games, they would get alot of IP for doing literally nothing but putting it in motion.
