Hextech crafting: Can this be used as an IP sink?

Many of us veteren players have accrued copious amounts of IP and have nothing to spend it on. I personally have well over 200,000 of the stuff, as I've been playing the game since January 2010. It would be a really nice thought if we could perhaps purchase keys for the price of a newly released champion, or potentially more?

I just want an IP sink Riot. I don't know what to do with all this stuff, and I can't give it away, and I can't make a smurf account and give it to my smurf. This is the perfect opportunity to finally give us a way to spend all this hard-earned IP, especially since you're coming out with many more ways lately to earn bonus IP, which us vets don't want, or need, so there's absolutely no incentive for us to do these things, even if we want to.
