Also tank ekko is a different gamestyle and not everybody prefers it also. I play what I like and what I do better at and when I usually try these "try x build" I do far worse than I would of normally. I personally build everybody tanky though and I enjoy it but others don't like it as much. Did he want you to sell all your items for what 2/3 of what you paid for them and go tank and lose so much gold efficiency? If so that's completely stupid.

I mean, AP Ekko is actually pretty amazing right now, considering that it was already strong with the 800000 recent Ekko buffs and was also buffed with the Tankko nerfs.
Ironic thread, you're the dumb guy here. Tank is the better version of any AP champion, believe it or not. I carry games in d5 ranked with Tank Ahri, most dmg and everything...
It's pretty bad that Ekko is being defined as Tank instead of... y'know, an Assassin.
