Why can't players buy RP in non-fixed amounts?

Let's say player 1 needs 248 RP for a skin and player 2 needs 357 to get a skin. Why can't they purchase a specific amount of RP?

It's marketing. Riot is banking on that tiny bit of RP in your account tempting you to buy more to get another skin 'cause you're part of the way already.

We all know exactly why. It makes more money by selling you more than you need, and when you have extra afterwards, you're more likely to buy more. It's not a scumbag sales technique or anything, this is a pretty universal tactic.

Because they don't want you to have 0 RP on your account. They want you to keep spending once you've already started. It's that simple.

because they want you to spend money on more rp than you actually need.

bad marketing. As much as riot likes their community they still need money.

because Riot never uses any of the Ideas the community come up with. this is a great Idea to me but Riot will never use it and thats the sad truth. :l

Because Riot wants the extra RP to sit in the account. Preferably forever. There was an article written about this "pseudo-currency". You can google it for a more detailed explanation.
