I need help deciding what role is best for me?

I've always believed top lane is my best role [at least, that's why I'm usually the top laner in ranked teams] but in Solo Queue I can never carry as top lane. Sure -- I can win my lane, easy outplay opponents and such, but I can never snowball my advantage towards a win as top lane.

Mid is another story. I'm able to EASILY carry games with mid lane, however, I can only do so with Ahri and Twisted Fate.

I used to main jungle, but in a world of Sated -- players who do not know how to shut down Sated Junglers early on by counter jungling won't really do well.

As for bot lane -- I play a mean Thresh, but that's it. Whereas if the enemy team has dive heavy champions such as Wukong, Volibear etc.... I am practically the most useless ADC in the world.

My best champions are champs such as Irelia Fiora Ahri Shen Nidalee Rumble TwistedFate

My position [assuming I'm not a tank] is not that bad if the champion I am using has some form of mobility or ability to peel for themselves. Hence why I am good with an immobile mage such as Twisted Fate, I'm very good at kiting but sometimes all-in champions get the best of me so I must rely on mobility or my own peel.

I didn't really know how to write this thread out, but I hope someone can help me decide which lane may be the best for me to carry in based on my playstyle.

Well personally I think every role should be best for you. You should be able to play every role well enough that you aren't feeding, but you're not carrying either. To answer your question, I think mid is the best choice for you. You just need to find more champions that you can play there. Either ones that are similar to TF and Ahri or totally different. What I'm trying to do is have 3 AD assassins top, 3 AD tanks top, 3 AP tanks top, and 3 AP assassins top with maybe one or two adc's thrown in the mix. In mid I'm getting 3 AP melee assassins, 3 AP casters, 3 AD assassins, and 3 AP tanks. In the jungle I'm getting 3 AD tanks, 3 AP tanks, 3 AD assassins, and 3 AP melee assassins. (you get the idea) I'm going to try and preform well with these champions in these positions so that I can fit any role that solo queue gives me. Anyways. Top and mid for you sir. Expand your horizons.

Yeah, I see a lot of people talk about carrying games, but I don't think that should ever be someone's ultimate objective. The best team is the team that brings out the best in each other. If you can 100% max out a champions abilities, great. You'll do super-duper amazingly great. But if you can help bring out 100% of the other four peeps on your team, even better!

So whatever role you feel most capable of covering your teammates' weaknesses and setting up for their strengths in is probably the best role for you. But like Spider said, diversity and flexibility is tremendously valuable in league of legends, especially solo queue, so you should make sure you're capable in more than your main role if at all possible.
