What is an "on-hit" build?

Hey!

I know what an on-hit effect is, but what is an on-hit build? Is it just a bunch of items that provide on-hit effects?

just a bunch of items that provide on-hit effects

usually some attackspeed and on-hit interacting passives (like guinsoos rageblade or runaan's hurricane) as well
