I only play this game now when friends want to play...

Playing alone is not only discourage but puts you at a disadvantage

My favorite arch-type (Mages) items cost so much that you have to somehow get hyperfed to have presence in a game.

The same picks over and over again. 60% of the time its the same adcs(ive only seen tristana once in over 3 months).

issues that plagued last season seemed to increase tenfold

Lead feel meaningless with these long deathtimers to turret health ratios (you could have more then double the kills the enemy has but if either someone throws and you lose 1 teamfight they can end the game off that). They made comebacks a little too easy(unless you are a mage, if you dont get ahead early you will be behind for the rest of the game).

AP itemization is just bad, defensive options are basically non existant. Building the good items put you severely behind. Every mastery that AP champs primarily use work better on AD champs, there are masteries that only AD can use on top of that.

This season feels so soulless and there is something extra that i just cant quite explain.

Sure the mage issue may get fix(my hope is it will be all mages as a class and not just the select few riot deems needing an update.)

I thought hextech crafting would revive my love a bit but theres always a catch. Was fully expecting 4 chest a month but never did i expect the key fragment drop rates being absurd. So on top of you being punished for playing solo, you are also being punished for playing too much.

No, you are right, going solo is suicide.
