Having all the champions, getting champion shards
I understand that once you own all the champs, you don't suddenly just start receiving only skins from chests. Although getting multiple champion shards consecutively is amazingly frustrating.

Hold on to the champion shards. This is the reason I'm trying so hard to unlock all the champs. Once you have them all, just hold the champion shards you get. Then, each time a new champion is released, you just trade in any three shards for a guaranteed new champion, since it's the only one you don't own.
Champ shards are used for Mastery 6/7 right? Which is nifty. Once you have mastery 7, they still turn into blue essence.
