No one is talking about Xerath?

I just tried him in a normal because I remembered how I liked playing him when he was viable. His early damage is really low if you take in consideration that his kit is 4 skillshots with 2 of em being pretty hard to land/easy to dodge (Q and E) and his ult is pretty much terrible with all the high mobility champs we have now.

His Q is predictable and his E is pretty much is only chance of survival while is ult you have to use it to secure kills/objectives while standing still and hope the enemies are not ekko, leblanc, zed or anyone with flash up.

In the early/mid game I played I dealt low damage to a team stacking armor only and was barely doing damage to kha'zix, jinx and tryndamere with morello,ludens,void staff and sorc shoes.

Late game I was melting them but it took a long time to become a real threat.

Does Riot have a plan for him? The main thing is his ult that is pretty bad IMO.
