I'm not sure when i'll die, what happens after death and the feeling that If I live a full life, that i'll have to do it without my parents or family all going to be alive with me. i'm not sure what my future holds and I don't have a career for myself. if anyone has made it out of a depression please if you can, tell me how I can do it too.

Don't listen to what people tell you. Everyone thinks they are a psychiatrist and just because you're sad about the state of your life or the world, doesn't mean you are mentally ill. Yes that's what people want you to think. That you are actually depressed and basically something is wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with you. In fact, if you AREN'T depressed about the state of the world and the society we live in.. there is something wrong there.

Do what you gotta do. You don't have to work some shit job just to pay bills and give the government what's left over. There's no peace in that (unless you're rich and can afford to do enjoyable activities after taxes). Open your mind and find what you want to do before you die. Also, accept death for what it is. Don't assume there is a magically fairyland after death. There is a life after death because energy cannot be destroyed. However, you may or may not be conscious of it the same way we are conscious of our life now. Just saying.. fuck it all man. The world is fucked and nothing you can do about it! Do what you think will give you some peace and relaxation.

I gots to say this is not my idea of the right place for this. It is doubtful anyone can help you with your depression on here as depression is a very complicated and person/situation/diet/drugs/insomnia/etc. specific. It is likely that people will be abusive towards you. If you are a troll you might even like that but if you are genuine then you are setting yourself up to get more depressed(but it will be their fault).
If this is genuine I will tell you that whatever is going on with you is important, much more important than anything else on these boards. You deserve real help, be it from a trusted person or a therapist or doctor. Not from the kinds of people that frequent these boards.

Dear god that was awful advice. Anti-depressant pharma drugs are a vicious endless cycle of zombification in my opinion. If you can locate a good psychotherapist in your area do that. If you have health insurance your doctor should be able to recommend a good one that is covered. All disease is caused simply by a lack of life. Life is the energy that drives us. Your mind channels that energy into your body. Your thoughts are formulated after your mind makes a statement about life. Our minds either drive us towards life, lovingly, or away from life, fearfully.
Youtube: Healing frequencies. 528 hz. Focus on how your thoughts manipulate every cell in your body to either absorb energy, or deny it. Energy is all around us. You must create a strong mental filter to translate your voyage through life. Relax. Release your stress and tension. A strained muscle will never heal if it is stretched out. Relax, curl up, go inward, feel soft. We are each responsible for absolutely everything that is translated through our mental and emotional filter.

The secret about depression is....... There is only ever one cause of depression. Lack of love. Be your own lover. Do those things that you wish you could do for someone else. Do them for yourself and be proud and happy. Be your own lover. Never let yourself down. Be forgiving. Be determined. You were meant for yourself. This is your dream after all, and this is just the translation your mind asked to receive.

The cycle of life and death continues. Fear not. This is not the end. There is no end in sight. Nothing... ever... dies.

First of all, there is a difference between depression and sadness. It is similar to how weather and climate is defined; the difference is the measure of time. Sadness is just like weather, it is defined by conditions over a short period of time. While depression is like climate, it is defined by conditions and atmosphere over long periods of time. You need to be accurate on your introspection to determine if you are experiencing sadness or the start of depression.

From what I see from your post it does seem like you may have a bit of depression. There are varying degrees of depression, I am glad you are still able to seek help because there is a lethal degree. Depression can also damage your brain, making recovery seem impossible. With that in mind you must understand that the feeling of hopelessness is normal.

I will share my insight on depression. The reason why I compared Depression with climate is because your atmosphere can affect your mental health. Dark, lonely places contribute to depression. People, believe it or not, can contribute to your depression in a direct or indirect way. People can impede your recovery by their attitude and actions. Even people who are close to you can stop your recovery because it is still bad to have someone around who says they "love you'' but their actions contradict their statement.

I am dealing with depression and I have read and watched many articles and videos about depression. From what I gather, depression is never defeated instead it is controlled. Depression is a normal part of life but there is an extent of depression that is unhealthy. You and I will never defeat depression. Still, hope is not completely lost. We can still experience happiness and success, we just need to try again.

Seek motivation and motivate yourself. Complement yourself. Smile. Go outside. Socialize. Read a book. Work. Just be productive with your time.

Hi Spot, I'm sorry for what your going through, you are not alone, I've gone through it too.

Some of us get broadsided by "a truck" when we understand that life is rather uncertain and fleeting. It becomes difficult to live in the now, and enjoy what is part of our lives. Instead we live with the fear and anxiety that comes from knowing what will happen (parents and family and friends and pets dying before our eyes) and that makes it difficult to sometimes even care about "enjoying" life. Then life piles on all the uncertain problems: how will I make a living with out a career, is it too late to get a career, what do I want to do for the REST of my ENITER LIFE, will I be able to support a wife and family if I don't pick the right career, what happens if this or that or any other other thing happens?!?! Anyways.. your not alone.

TD:LR Im gonna write this now, in case you don't like what I right a few lines down. Bad things happening in life is certain. Uncertain things happening in life are also certain. You being alive right at this moment in time is certain, you being alive the following moment is uncertain. You being consumed by fear and anxiety of certain things happening... will certainly lead to darker and darker depression. Learn to enjoy what is now. Plan and build towards a future... but don't let that future strangle the fact that now is now. Now is a certain.. be at peace about that and love your family now. Experience joy and love together with them in this certain now.

So back to the thing you might not like to hear.... after years and years of struggle with my thoughts... I let God adopt me and turn me into a Christian. Then after years and years of struggling with God to miracle me up a certain perfect life ... I gave in and let God turn me into a follower of Christ.

Why is this relevant to you? Because of the truth of God's word, His promises, His love, and the fact that when all is said and done ( when all the certains and uncertains run their course and are completed and finished) ... I am certain that my loved ones and I will walk into a new and better " certain" future.

Depression is hard. I've fought with depression for years, and it's not something to take lightly.

Being realistic, you'll likely never be completely free of it, because it is such a complicated thing. But you can deal with it...

what I recommend is looking at your life and ACTUALLY thinking about the good parts of it. Be honest with yourself, because everyone has good and bad to think about... and I think that recognizing the good is the first step to overcoming psychological depression since depression is often about hopelessness/despair, and it can be hard to have hope if you don't see the good. Unfortunately, depression can also stem from physical problems, so I'd also recommend seeking help from a doctor. I didn't, and I think it made my struggle much more difficult.

I just want to add that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. If you needed companionship and found it on here then good for you. But if you really wanted help I hope you take the advice you have been given with a grain of sand. Just skimming I found a few very important "facts" people told you which are absolute complete utter bullshit. NO ONE CAN TELL YOU HOW YOU SHOULD FEEL ABOUT THE WORLD. ANTIDEPRESSANTS ARE NOT WONDER DRUGS BUT THE RIGHT ANTIDEPRESSANT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON IS JUST AS MEDICALLY RELEVANT AS ANTIBIOTIC FOR INFECTION YES THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH CHEMICAL IMBALANCES IN THEIR BRAIN WHICH AT THIS POINT CAN ONLY BE TREATED WITH MEDICATION IF YOU ARE THAT KIND OF PERSON OR NOT THE 16 YEAR OLD STONERS ON THESE BOARDS HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE SO IF YOU WANT FRIENDS HAVE AT IT WITH THESE PEOPLE IF YOU WANT ADVICE THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO GET IT.
