How many ranked games does it take before you get stuck in a certain League?
Seems like the game is intentionally preventing me from reaching Gold. Too many games in Silver?

I got stuck at plat 1 for a week before I was able to reach diamond. I fluctuated from high plat 1 to, at my worst, low plat 2, but was eventually able to carry out. I know depending on your MMR it can be easy to get stuck but keep trying.
I think it really depends, for me 5th of any division is always the hardest to climb out of because of the pool of players stuck there.
As many ranked games as it takes for you to give up. Compared to many, I haven't played all that much, but I'm stuck at Silver 2. Each time I have been just a game away from my S1 promos, I got a string of bad games, many due to afk/dc'ers or being pit against Gold teams that were simply far better as a whole.
...but, not giving up is the only way forward. Feels like it will take simple luck to be matched with good players, and against bad ones in order to slip into Silver 1 finally, and up into Gold. Just wish my luck would take a turn for the better before I miss my chance at the Victorious skin.
Getting "stuck" in a league is impossible, you simply feel stuck because you've reached as far into SoloQ as far as your skill and knowledge of the game can carry you. Improve your skill and you will rise higher.
