Tell me riot, did Tencent decide on the splash art unification?

For those of you that don't know Tencent is Riot's parent company, they bought out the rest of the stake in Riot a while back. Tencent is a Chinese company, and as you may have noticed the new splash arts seem particularly asian (not to sound racist, just generalizing art forms). I'm wondering if the unification was something Riot wanted to do, or something Tencent wanted to do, and if Tencent was the major factor when deciding on which new splashes to use. While i to have reservations on some of the new splashes (looking at the irelia splash) i think others are pretty good. Disregarding how good the art is, my real question i suppose is if Tencent is making major changes to League of Legends, and Riot as a company, and what direction is the company heading in if so?

No, they did not, and if you bothered to actually do a little digging instead of instantly complaining about wverything, you'd find the reason why they're doing this. They've answered that question I don't know how many times.

Does it even matter?

From what i've read, tencent doesn't really control anything that goes on here.
