The Lore Update

Well, this is....awkward.

So lets start here: Yes, all lore, back stories, etc. are being retconed. In what has become the only thing I find truly frustrating about Riot, that seems to have increased recently (dont worry, still love you guys) - there is complete silence about what is actually HAPPENING.

I am VERY slow to distrust the team that gave us this game - if they feel the game is moving in the right direction, I would like to see what they have before freaking out about it. Further, Riot actively said they feel the world they have created is stifling creativity. I think we can all agree, that is NOT what we want. So, in some sense, this change is needed.

On the other hand, something of this size cannot be just flipped back. So, thus comes my question:

How should riot handle this? They cant simply "Not do it" nor should they "force it" on the community....but the community being what it is (you buggers, you) will likely reject anything that is not a continuation of the old cannon. So post here suggestions only of how riot might A) ease the transition. B) give the players what they want. C) improve. and D) be more communicative with the community without spoiling the change.
