Teemo Rework?

Hoi Im Temmo·11/16/2014, 4:11:58 AM·8 votes·4,147 views

It seems to me, at least, that so long as Teemo is generally hated by the community, his actual in game balance is meaningless. He will be nerfed until complaints go down, regardless of being actually strong or not.

As such, if the champion is simply fated to NEVER be competitive, why keep it as it is? Teemo is one of my favorite champs, but I think the time has come to rework him into something people are willing to allow in the game.

Which brings me to the purpose of this thread - what changes should be made if such a rework were to occur? What should be kept? What new abilities could be added?

hating teemo is just some stupid meme. he's fun to play as and against.

I main Teemo for all lanes but jungle. I would love to see on his E to remove the impact poison damage and increase his AP ratio for the DoT poison damage. I feel like this would help with his sustain damage on multiple targets and gives great single target poke,I found Teemo is a champ that works great if you switch targets a lot (that's how I have found he works great in team fights).

Passive is fine but is tricky to use can be game breaking is other team is not used to Teemo, otherwise its a passive that is obsolete.

Q Is fine since it only disables auto attacks and in all reality there are very few champs that only do damage thru autos (Tryn, Ashe, Cait ...thats about it, most adc's have heavy damage skills that are unaffected by blind). Would love to see another poison DoT here but everyone would complain so no DoT then...but again would love to see it. If this has to be changed then let it just be a nuke with additional DoT (drop the blind but add a heck of alot more damage) or if you really want to have people piss and moan make it a silence instead.

W a smaller burst speed with a shorter cooldown would be good for both teams playing with and going against. Or hey even better, passive no longer drops on damage and instead of an active speed increase he can break and is immune to taunts snares and stuns for 2 sec but is still able to be supressed (WW ult, malz ult, etc). keeping his speed is good and people dont have to worry about him just bolting off, but still gives him some sort of utility and def. (i like this the more I think about it.)

E as I stated get rid of impact damage and give it better ratios, possibly give him a 10sec burst active like Cassiopeas E but with only reapplying the DoT instead of lowering the cooldown.

R Less skill damage increase AP ratio more visibility and larger area of effect. Crap I would like even just more visibility. Max 7 on the map would make going against Teemo a little easier and forces Teemos to make good placement choices.

I feel like these small changes really turn him into a true harass champ.
The thing with Teemo is you need to harass to make sure your team is ahead, that is how he contributes the most early game harass so there is no fed late gamers on their side.

All in all its not much of a rework just small changes. Tell me what you think, do you like?

What changes? His complete and utter destruction.

All champs with stun are more toxic than all of Teemo's abilities combined. Teemo is just the Anti-autoattack champ that relies heavily on auto attack . I think Teemo is perfect.

It would be cool if you hit a button and everyone on the map was taunted to move in your direction though:). Maybe when he does his speedup he could leave a trail of poison smoke and ignore collisions? That would add to the Teemo hatred and boost my love for him?her? It :)

I would be careful asking for a Teemo rework because they don't usually change champs too much and he might become even more of a pain in the but :) please please please :)

Teemo = LOVE

Teemo needs a rework.

The following are my preferred changes, numbers omitted:

slight increase to AA range significant increase to base MS

new innate serves as replacement for current E; has no up-front component (pure DoT); small ap scaling; DoT's duration decreases as Teemo levels for its primary mode of scaling (ex: 15 damage over 5 seconds early game becomes 50 damage over one second late game)

new Q: next AA converted to magic-damage-over-time (think DoT Poppy Q); hybrid scaling

new W passive: Teemo's vision extends slightly into brush and around corners new W active: Teemo sheds roots&slows, gains temporary %MS and Eve-esque stealth

new E: single-target linear collision skillshot nuke reduces vision radius of target (think single target noc ult or graves smoke); ap scaling

ult changes: visible, invulnerable, placeable at range, no passive vision, release widening AoE on detonation poisoning enemies who pass through for %currentHP and %MSslow (think nid/cait traps crossed with %currentHP CasW) only generates 'ammunition' while not in enemy champion/tower vision ap scaling

WTF community! He is simply asking for opinions on a rework which is not toxic. Why the F does he get dislikes for thinking about the community whilst wanting to play his fav champ?

Teemo is an op champ if u know how to play it if don't know u will feed but if u know how to play it the enemy team can kill u is ok to rework him a bit I like this champ and u need some skill to play well teemo. He is hated bc the most players of teemo know how to play teemo. Teemo is a hard champ

i personelly think teemo should be a tank champion

Sohleks3/9/2017, 10:25:29 AM1 votes

I enjoy playing him quite a bit. However I don't generally bring him out in mid diamond+ ranked though where I'd meet my matches. However that's because of a mixture of playing league more casually overtime and a sort of light performance anxiety.

I still think that even though he's never mainstream and min max team environment competitive he's pretty solid for solo queue though. ( I think it's kinda evident though pro's don't really know how to play Teemo) And even though they slashed his shroom duration all the other changes overtime have made small appreciable differences and that frankly it's nice since most other champions don't get much tweaks other than buff/nerf this or RISKY sweeping class reworks. And I start to think maybe it's for the best Teemo isn't mainstream and LCS viable because if that happens oh boy.. what the heck have they done to even make that happen... and once that's done and over..?

He's good in solo queue though because even though he's more fragile than the average ranged solo laners that get play he makes up for it in shear damage from his E. If he were updated and more rounded and more about scouting... and whatever big plays they may inject into an updated kit he would probably lose that laning power. Still though even though Teemo is SIMPLE he doesn't feel that way because he is sort of encouraged to be a stealthy rat hiding in his mine fields simply because how fragile he is. But that's kind of the way he should be and it's possible to compensate for this with some popular builds that make him tankier sacrificing mine field power. Even though I wanted THOSE tanks in general to have more scaling and less of an auto win middle game the current item set helps Teemo out because it's possible to get outright enough damage from his E with enough attack speed.

My core's usually nashor's + gunblade then either tankier or more ap or attack speed based on the needs of the game.

The big key things that will probably need changed or removed on Teemo: Blinding Dart - Targeted blind/mini nuke puts trades heavily in his favor. Very little counterplay (QSS/Cleanse isn't always going to be up, not to mention other abilities have CC AND counterplay as well. Mushrooms - Invisible traps are just toxic in general. You will never be able to kill them all, and building red trinket upgrade means you are still losing the vision war. (I wouldn't be surprised if Shaco also lost his trap box, although he's got other issues too.)

I expect he's on the table for a rework eventually. But Riot has never commented. Personally I've seen a number of ideas. Making his blinding dart a small AoE skill shot similar to Graves smoke screen. Adding an active to his toxic dart for a higher dot damage or increase damage taken from the applied poison. Numerous ideas on how to rework his poison traps, some making them thrown bombs, others making them similar to Cait traps.
