In games, particularity bots (I have been playing bots recently to help friends learn the game) I have been seeing a LARGE number of player bots - these just get a basic item, run up middle and basically try to stay active the whole game so they get exp and ip at the end of the game. This is really sad, and making it hard on my friends i'm trying to bring into the game.

Kynami6 votesPretty much what I just had to do after this last Int bot match where I took a just acquired champ for a spin. Got three of the stupid things in that match. Still won, but this kind of thing needs accounts tainted in this way banned and a hard look at any other accounts from the same IP address.

well im 50/50 on it.
on 1 part, because of the huge botting problem we could use it becaues it makes riots job easier instead having to separetely find bot reports.
on the other part what if someone goes 20 death because they suck? then they get called a botter. or what if ppl mistake the bot report and report the enemy zed for example because he had 40 kills and never missed a skillshot.
Watch912 votesFor those who can't tell the difference from actual feeders and bots, bots ALWAYS have GHOST and HEAL. However, for lower levels like maybe level 1 to 10, it would be harder to tell (beginner players usually use ghost and heal as main spells until they get flash and ignite).
Seth the Bum9 votesThey also only seem to pick free week champions, use one of the original default summoner icons, never get trinkets, and don't have any extra stats from runes or masteries. But... all of those things can sometimes mean a new player, too. If nothing else, it becomes all too apparent when they don't ever talk and then run mid to die, as well as only buying certain items. I admit that they have evolved over the past few months. The bots we used to see never bought anything, never used abilities, and always ran straight into the tower.
4Runr1 votesThey also have names like, (for example, i actually played with both of these) "Magee Lyle" And "Magea Lyle" in the same game. guessing theres a "Mageb Lyle" etc. Also these bots only appear on the 3v3, dominion and aram maps.

azrolator3 votesLevel 30 here and still seeing them. Had one that acted differently the other day and did not attack melee style things he ran into but ran straight toward enemy base. got up to over 50 deaths by end game. So there isn't just one bot program or its customizable to act differently.

Khephren2 votesI was surprised myself, until I typed League of Legends in ebay and over 30 inquiries popped up for ''refering'' for example, will refer 100 people for xx $$$ and they give about 2 weeks and you just tell them your referal link and they run bots that get to lvl 5 (I think it takes for a referal to count) and then they make more and more bots...
it will stop since Riot got a hold of it and attacked the root of the problem which they changed the way the system works... it should die down until the fraudsters find another way to exploit this game.
its sad in some way but in the world we live in, whatever makes money easy, works... It really wouldn`t surprise me that some ''organizations'' (read between the lines) actually finance themselves like that.
but I'm happy riot will kill that.

Reporting doesn't do anything to make the actual game play any better and it doesn't take a loss off your record... so it's just a vent for vindictive players in my opinion. People need to soldier up and play on.

gSummers3 votesFor the past 5 days, I am also seeing bot-players for one in every 3 games. Last game we had 2 bot players in my team who just ran up in mid lane and fed the AP champion. I got so frustated, I stopped playing for some time. I report them as Spamming with comments as Botting/Bots. After the game, I opened their profile, both of them had been botting for their last 5-10 matches (the score was like 0-15-2, and their build items were 3-4 Vamp scepter/doran blade and 2-3 boots). I saw some PvP games as well in their match history (same score and item builds). Riot should provide an option to identify these accounts so that after consecutive reports, the account should be banned/blocked.

Mannysmoker3 votesis funny how i was playing with my wife to introduce her to this game, i said let's play bot in TTL (Twisted tree Line), i was duo with her and in pretty much all the games i found players that took gosht and heal, pick a free rotation champ and says nothing the whole game. and just stood in bot lane doing nothing, dying to minions and champs. the game ended up with 60 death on our team. i was like that's can be normal..

That is my largest complaint: I don't care to much about someone buying a level 30 account with all the ip they could want....its dumb, and the account should really be banned, but it doesn't effect me.
But it can RUIN the initial experience of the game for new players.

What is always a giveaway for me is that they'll call their role (usually support in my experience) and then say nothing else, even if you outcall them (support main right here) and then they'll 'attach' to whoever goes bot with them, following them everywhere (one refused to go into the brush) and recalling whenever you do. usually they play soraka, so they'll heal you if you're missing health and they'll give you mana if you're missing that. so glad rito's cracking down on botters.

WrathfulDoom1 votesI've taken screenshots of the bot accounts in pregame (they usually take ghost / heal, that's a giveaway), and around midgame or when the inner ring of turrets is down I take another SS of the game stats (hitting TAB, then making a SS) and note who's been feeding, and after the game is done I take a final SS but during the game I try to communicate with the bot players and warn them about the abuse of the system and advise other players they too should take action against the botting players. most do I'm certain because who likes playing a lv6 champ vs a fed lv10 Annie? or Ryze?
I've tried using the report function after game...but I went a step further as I seen more of them show up and now send a SS of the botters directly to support.
I've not had a bot ruin my game for the last week.
The RAF program update seems to have affected these idiots as well.

The builds on Ryze and Janna pretty much tell everything. Stacking tear and codex? A quick google search turns up a lot of results for these leveling bots, and there is one that uses only Soraka, that is what the poster who mentioned the Soraka must have seen. There is also an auto account creator out there, the author sells it for 20 euros and claims it can solve captchas....
There is a lot of threads on this topic if you do a search. I feel that the OP's suggestion of a report for botting is the best solution, and I've already suggested that in another thread. For some reason Riot removed the option to report for hacking. I've tried reporting them as AFK and in comments writing "farming bot". I've been told by people that they got temp banned for AFKing, so I thought this may get the most attention, but my guess is that it was leavebuster that banned them, and seeing as how these bots are "active" throughout the whole game (would be easier on their team if they weren't, because they feed nonstop), leavebuster would consider them as not being AFK and therefore not ban them.
For now, I'm just not going to play squishies if I'm going for first win in a coop game late at night. Some sadistic person at Riot decided that your enemies in coop games on twisted treeline should all have tons of hard CC, and it doesn't matter how good you are if you get chain CCed by fed bots, if you're squishy you're dead before you can move. I really like Garen for these situations, because he's tanky even if you build him full damage and crit, and his spin-to-win can't be disrupted by anything, and will melt their whole team down if they decide to crowd you while you spin and you've built full crit and dmg and have a level advantage.

Bots are kinda cool, but not when they are ruining experiences. they should use their bots in custom made games against other bots. dont' bring it to pvp and bring a team down.

I can remember even when i started playing there were bots mainly in Dominion which i would assume why most people rarely play the mode any more. but now that they seem to move into Vs AI, and some normal games it just seems like Riot doesnt care about the matter, or else it would have been put in already!
