What's the story of how you became a Gamer?

So this is something that popped on my mind a while ago, I asked "Why am I a gamer?" And I kinda wanted to share it with everyone.

So here's my little story:

I'd always been more of a solo gamer, yet one day I stumbled upon an arcade at a mall I was visiting out of town. I had a few dollars saved, so i exchanged them for some quarters. I walked into the myriad of bells, music and more games than I could imagine. I also heard some familiar music of a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) machine, and walked my way over. I saw a group of friends all dancing around and having a good time, playing some insanely hard songs. Here was me, chubby at about 12 or so just watching in awe.

They wrapped up their final song, said their goodbyes and split. Except for one guy who stayed behind after seeing me watching the group play the game. He turns and asks "Hey, you wanna play? If you have the quarters to, I'll play a song with you."

I pop in the coins and we dance out to the song he picks, which is called "Witch Doctor." He's on probably expert, I'm on easy. We end the song together, his score massively eclipsing mine, but I didn't even care. Just the fact that someone so good had taken the time to stay back and include this little kid that was way younger than him was something that I will never forget.
