I was reported for verbal abuse for asking a question

It was an ARAM game and about 25 minutes into the game I noticed that the only items our Riven had was a Warmogs and a BF sword. So our conversation went like this"

Me: "Why did you rush Warmogs instead of damage?" Riven player: "I did it to piss u off" Riven player: "We didnt have any tankiness so I built Warmogs" Me: "Randuins would have been better." Riven: "Yeah, keep talking bitch I'm already gonna report you. I made a call."

That's it. That's all I said all match. After game I got a notification that said I was reported for verbal abuse.

How does the above conversation count as "verbal abuse" in some people's minds? Why do people get so defensive over the simplest and most mundane question? It's like "Hey can you ward drag?" "Fuck u noob reported."

Watch me get chat restricted somehow.

You have to be reported consistently to get a warning, so unless you're raging every game, you're fine. I used to get a warning once or twice a week, but only because I had a bad habit of raging.

But that's what I'm saying. You get reported for saying literally anything because the other guy interprets it as toxic. My last game I got reported for taking gromp from my eve jungle because my champion attacked it with attack move.

You wouldn't have been reported for "verbal abuse", which leads to chat restrictions, just for taking a jungle camp. It's because you might have argued with your team, and consistently. Worst comes to worst, just stop talking in chat altogether, it usually leads to more wins anyways. Don;t take it for granted that you only get a warning when you get close, instead of being restricted outright.

No, I got reported for Negative Attitude for taking a jungle camp... Eve and I got caught in a 2 vs 2, she left me to die, and then wrote "If you want me to help next time, don't take my jungle". That's when I got reported for negative attitude because Eve was in a 4 man premade and they all reported me lol.

It's dumb that I can't ask people to ward, tell people what they did wrong in a fight, tell them to build a better item, etc. on the likelihood that they will get defensive and report me for it. If someone is doing something wrong on my team and I point it out, why is that considered toxic? Does Riot honestly expect me just lose instead?

I guess I'm confused on how u get reported so often for verbal abuse and negative attitude, but do nothing wrong. I'm leaving at that.

I've explained this several times already. Nearly anything can fall under the broad umbrella of toxic behavior- that's how people get reported often. It seems the only way to not get reported is:

Don't say anything and mute everyone at the beginning of chat
Never say anything that could even remotely be interpreted as negative ever. Only say "gl hf" and "nj".
Never give constructive feedback on anything ever or else the other player may get super defensive
