And yes I can still communicate as a team; I will listen to pings and watch the minimap.
99% of chat talk is complete trash.
first of all, you can type "/mute all" that takes care off all 9 players. then you can minimize the chatbox to near invisible size and thats it. the mute /all command is quite handy, especially when select already was annoying! pings is all you need. and even if you muted them all, they will still see an occasional "gj" or "well done" when you type it!
you can mute people individually. but yeah, i wish I could just mute everyone in one go...

Technically it isn't what you're looking for, but you won't see the chat!
