Off Meta Supports are great as long as....
You have a brain dead jungler opponent that never ganks to show you why "no peel" champs sink ships. If you can't beat a double AD kill lane, its probably your junglers fault.

uhm...there are tons of meta supports without peel.... Sona (no peel besides maybe an ult) Soraka (no peel besides maybe a snare but highly unlikely) Karma (no peel besides a slow) Annie (only peel is her passive which is not always up) Zilean ( no peel besides a slow and a situational stun) Volibear ( can really only meatshield you)
If you already know you are playing with a kill lane/sustain lane you gotta position yourself better to minimize your lanes weakness. You probably was just pushing the lane non stop.
