If you cannot speak English...

Then you shouldn't play League of Legends (unless its in a regional language). How is it bad, or "racist" to ask people to communicate in an internationally accepted language that we can all understand. No, I don't want to see you swear at me in your own native languages when I'm playing, thinking that I do not understand!

This really has to stop because it breeds toxicity. It is unfair to your own team if they cannot understand any vital information. I just do not understand why people get called "racist" for this because it is not, we just want a language we can all understand. Most European Nations can speak English (all within the EUW region) so its just demeaning and rude.

It is becoming a real gameplay issue that needs a fix.

Just mute them. Fixed it. You're welcome.

I hope that they understand some English league terms like "jungle" "mid" "gank" "mia"

other than that they can speak whatever language they want regardless of who speaks it or not

if someone just starts monologuing in french (or any other language) that's okay with me as long as they know what I mean when I say "gank mid"

Chat is not required to communicate with your team. In a not so smart team all you need are pings, and in a smart team you have both pings and body language (or more accurately positioning, but the term fits here).

That's why there's both a mute function and a report for refusing to communicate, chat is not needed.

With that said it's definitely not wrong or racist to ask someone to speak in a language you understand. NA players mostly speak English, but we actually have three different languages in that region. Just keep in mind they are not necessarily refusing to communicate it they refuse to speak your language.
