Riot bans/restricts people for "responding" to the actual bullies

It's always interesting to see evil prevail in the case of Riot punishing the victims whom, after being called "trash," "garbage," "bad," "r%%%%%ed," "autistic," among many other slurs, simply clarify that they are actually not any of those things, and that by the mere nature of clarifying themselves, in a non-vulgar way, get punished because they "responded."

It must really be a whole new epic level of low for Riot to punish those who are threatened and bullied, simply for clarifying that they are not "r%%%%%ed," that they are not "autistic," that they are not "garbage."

I guess though, that it's no surprise that the queue times have gotten longer.

My friend may have quit due to these circumstances, but I'll be sticking around to see the massive backlash, as always, when Riot thinks that it can get away with hiring amateurs who don't even read their own supervisor's memo, let alone the actual chat logs (yes, this actually happened, gg).

Now I'm almost convinced that this kid was just a troll himself and none of this even happened. Ohh, well. Hopefully some people will read it and learn a few things.

I look at both sides of this, yes, it isn't fair that people who defend themselves can get reported by the same people who reported them. It isn't fair, or just, or anything really. But with how the system currently is, there isn't anyway to stop that from happening really. As for the flip side, it shouldn't matter, a few wayward reports from said toxic people don't even get you warned. If there was a way to just magically remove every troll, flamer, afk, or rager from a game...that would be great.

Here's the thing...

There are five people on your team. If one person is toxic... they can just not pay attention to that person and maybe still have a good game with four.

If someone replies to him, it is no longer just 'one troll that they can ignore' it's now a huge argument in their team which brings everyone down.

So while the initial toxic person is responsible for it happening at all... the person who replied to them is JUST as responsible for making it into something that's hard to ignore.

So both parties are responsible.

"It's part of human nature to respond when we're verbally assaulted. "

EXACTLY. They prey on human nature. If you understand how a troll works, then you can counter them. Otherwise, you will fall into their traps... every. single. time.

"Judging from your other posts, you clearly have a significant bias towards Riot, so much so as I would question whether you are an actual player yourself."

  1. You have obviously not read too terribly many of my posts.
  2. I never claimed to play League of legends. I never have, nor will I ever play it. I simply made an account to post in the forums. yep... :p

"Don't come on here telling people that they should simply "ignore" someone, when that someone is not only verbally assaulting them, but also trying to get the victim reported on top of that."

Everyone goes through the same basic thought process as they figure out what a troll is, and how to respond to them. I've said what I do.. which happens to agree with, according to you, what riot's position is (not agreeing, just assuming, for the sake of this argument, that you are correct). The crux is... what is your alternative? Is your alternative what you got punished for? go to youtube and watch some videos about how to deal with trolls in games. most importantly, how to not feed trolls. (what you are doing is called "feeding" the troll)

as for the rest of your post. calm down man. I know trolls suck. Everyone has been a victim and fed a few trolls before realizing what they did was actually encourage them, as opposed to stopping them. I am no exception. OK, you got had. We all have been. Just learn from it. Otherwise, you'll just be on another punishment again, probably more severe next time.

Also, FWIW, I do seriously doubt the innocence that you claim... just being honest. I doubt Riot would be as extreme as you say, esp since you give no real facts, just your interpretation of them.

Jubbinaut, Eleshakai, and Cpt Lemmiwinks are all the same person, please do the community a favor and report their posts for harassment if you see them, they are going around to every thread they disagree with and spamming it. This is not the time nor place for that.
