Featured Gamemode Idea

Ladies and Gentlemen of the league community. I'm sure many of us are deeply saddened that dominion is now gone, but I feel as if without dominion, Riot needs to put out more featured gamemodes to keep things fresh instead of constant 5v5's on Summoner's Rift. Now I know that usually I rant about bad gameplay decisions, but I have been rolling an idea for a featured gamemode for a while now. the idea is as follows.

Blast from the past: Champions such as Sion, Gangplank, and Poppy can be played as their old selves. Champions that have had reworks, minor or total overhauls, can be played as their most recent version. All champions that have had a visual update only would have a temporary "classic skin" that makes their base skin their old skin, such as Twitch, Garen, ETC. If you own another skin for that champion, you can use the older version of that skin as well. Aside from visuals, skills and stats are also rolled back. Furthermore, you could play old Sion, but someone else could play new Sion and not get blocked in draft.

This is all not to say we'd get things such as beta TF with instant gate's on his E and AOE stuns, but instead Poppy right before her rework Vs. New Poppy. Just an idea I've tossed around and thought it would be fun to see this in a not so serious featured gamemode.

That would be an absurd amount of work, considering how many reworks/updates there's been over the years. Skarner alone has, what, four versions? Riot would have to go through and check every one of them to fit current systems.

It might be interesting, but it also seems like an absolute pain to do.
