Are Placement Matches Always Like This?

I just had a match where the enemy team had 3 Gold, 1 Diamond, and 1 Masters player. Where our team had 1 Unranked, 2 Silver, and 2 Plat Players. The Masters player was ADC with the Diamond player as support and they completely destroyed our bot lane. The game was just completely one sided to the point everyone just gave up and started inting for fun.

Never had a match so one sided before. Are placements always like this?
