Preseason Runes and Masteries

Cription··1 votes·468 views

After going through all the options on the website for the new upcoming preseason changes to runes and masteries. I feel like they all tend to lean towards mid to late game playstyles. I was wondering where are all of the early game choices.

Everything seems to be weak early, strong later. Idk, I get the feeling that the early game in League after this update is just going to be a 100% complete farm fest with everyone waiting until mid to late game to do anything. The one thing I 100% love about HOTS, for example, is that there is 9 times out of 10 fighting between both teams immediately as the game starts. I'm just worried this is going to turn the game into even more of a dull farm fest than it already is.

I could be wrong though.

so like dota, they should also include creep execute where you can kill off your own minion to deny the enemy gold

that is 100% the reason I stopped playing DotA. Killing one's allies off because they're weak is not an intuitive, fun, or interesting mechanic.

if you play chess then you will understand the strategy behind it

You can't kill your own units in chess. You can put them into sacrificial positions for various strategic decisions. But chess rules do not allow you to kill your own units.

"Killing one's allies off because they're weak is not an intuitive"

is a strategy in chess

you intentionally put pawns in harms way to take out a higher position

Sacrifice is different from killing.

There is no actual correlative in chess to denies. Denies would be like moving your knight onto the same piece as your pawn occupies and killing the pawn so that your Knight can be in a better spot. The game does not allow you to do this.

Sacrificing a pawn for a higher piece is the equivalent of a player making an aggressive play to draw multiple peoples' attention while your team pushes for a big objective. He knows he's going to die, but the reward for him dying is worth it.

That is understandable. Shooting your ally in the head from behind is not.

All I was saying was it's a type of strategy in mobas, chess have strategies too so it's an easy comparison. But you are too tunneled on thing to see a bigger picture.

You will see a blue ward as a means to ward a bush where as a strategist will hide in a bush and place the blue ward next to it so that the enemy goes there to take it out. Bam you jump them and get a kill thus your plan worked.

A chess player views mobas as a strategic game of wits while others just smash smash smash.

Don't be so single minded there are multiple ways of seeing things. Also you are one toxic dude

"You are one toxic dude" nothing I said in here is toxic. If you somehow convinced yourself that anyone who disagrees with you is toxic, then I don't even know what to say to you.

You're just making a bad comparison. I mean no disrespect by this. It's just not a good comparison.

You DO seem like the type of person who is glad to stab their allies in the back though, so it's no wonder you like the mechanic so much! ;)
