Cant even tell an obvious joke anymore because some Kid will get offended and tell his Trio or Duo buddies to Report the one person who said the joke... This is complete Abuse of the system. meanwhile i get called a bitch and get some sweet ass reports, they wont even get a warning due to Them having more Reports on me than i do on them.

I did not get banned nor have i done anything to deserve being Reported but this is annoying.

Its been said in every thread about bans: Reporting does nothing if you did nothing wrong. Its relly simple.

Not true. Someone has actually done a test by asking several people in several games to report him for verbal abuse, even though he said nothing at all. In the end? He got banned. The system is cancer xD

Could you link me to the thread or website with the information? If this is true then im sure Riot would love to hear such feedback.

They've addressed a number of these "experiments." Turns out, they were performed using methods and limitations that were somewhat less than rigorous. Specifically, in each case I've seen, the accounts in questioned were issued bans or restrictions based on games that were played where they were being toxic - but which weren't included in the "experiment."

Which indicates that either this was intentional (an attempt to falsely bias the data), or that the people performing these "experiments" didn't realize that all of the games they play on the account are relevant to the experiment they tried.

I tried something similar once. A couple friends and I all made new accounts and started playing. In order to preserve data, I made sure that I never said anything in any chat. Instead, my friends would ask people to report me for whatever reason. Interestingly, that account has never seen any kind of restriction (though I did get the infamous LB "I agree" message once due to a power outage).

The report system builds cases based on the number of reported games (as opposed to the raw number of reports). It does so specifically to prevent the exact kind of abuse you're concerned about here.

So if a trio all report you, it's one reported game. If you report each of them, it's one reported game each.

Argh, this one always get to me. People think nothing about it, but they're basically saying "Me will report you and my friend will report you." You should be saying "My friend will report you and I will report you."
