Quick question about tanking your Ranked position

So, it happened, I managed to squeeze my way into Diamond, almost by sheer luck, I will admit.

My question is that I saw in the Ranked FAQ that you're shielded for 10 games when you move up a tier, aka, you can't be demoted during these games, but does anyone know if that applies to your MMR as well? Since I know that when your MMR gets down quite the lot, you will be demoted to the previous ranked tier and I've been having a hard time winning games (some have been my fault, others my teammates', but that's besides the point).

So, yeah, I'm a bit curious since Riot loves to me ambigous as hell when it comes to explaining the Ranked system.

To my knowledge, MMR adjusts for every game you play (except for losing Loss Prevented games).

I should be careful then, I really do not wish to go through Plat-Diamond promo's once again for a good while, they were quite the stressful games.

I was in the same boat as you are right now :P

I made it to diamond with all the lucks I could get after who knows how many promos. I lost the first 6 games after I hit D5, then won 4 straight, and I've been hovering around D5 40-60 LP now.
