it was funny at first but after like the 7th cat gif its really annoying
I'd rather see Breaking Bad and Godzilla gifs than hate and QQ threads any day.

But seriously, if you think they crowd out other posts, learn to use the sub-boards (those fancy little things over on the side below the search bar) instead of just staring at the front page of the "hot" section of boards.

Its basically everyone fishing for the upvotes, now that they made the whole "lifetime upvote thing." Amusing for a short run, but this is when it gets irritating and why its a bad idea.
Does this actually keep me from seeing things? I laugh at the memes then just hit "show more". I thought I was getting to see everything in order of pop.
Is there a way to block the "meme" boards from the main one? It's annoying.

On one hand, yes, it's irritating checking the Memes and Games forum and seeing the entire front page is full of cat gifs and cheap jokes. As someone that almost never thinks they're funny, one is the same as the next and I don't see the need for having an enormous volume of animated pictures that depict every conceivably possible situation in the game. Hell, the front page of Memes and Games has at -least- 35 of these right now, and only 5 threads on said front page do not have an accompanying image or video.
On the other hand, the threads themselves seem to have become a forum meme, which makes that subforum the most appropriate one for them.
I'm kinda torn, because it is keeping the volume of hate threads down a bit as well...
Or maybe we could just I dunno, maybe click on the sub forum you want to read? Personally I don't ever read anything that is story and art or community creations, but they still show up on the main page from time to time so I just scroll past them.
Yes please, the upvote whoring has gotten out of control. We get it. It's funny, we get it, it happens to everyone, we get it, it happens alot. I'd rather have a discussion about cinderhulk with 80 upvotes on the top of Boards instead of YET ANOTHER DAMN unoriginal .gif posted by the same 3-4 people whose sole contribution to the forums is .gif spam.

I actually like the memes, but I guess it might be better to keep them off the front page maybe...
