PSAs on behavior are just like billboards on the highway telling you to not hit your wife.

I had never really thought about it before, but think about it, how many people who are toxic and rage in-game actually follow community stuff? Some, I'll grant you, but not many.

About the title, think about that as well. Do you honestly believe that some wife-beater is driving down the highway, sees the sign, and goes, "Oh shit, I'm NOT supposed to hit women? Fuck, I have some apologizing to do!" No, they don't give a damn, they're bad people who won't be swayed by some text on the highway.

Same thing on the boards. I know from experience that people who are toxic in game also go to the boards, they don't like being toxic, but they can't help it. They already know it's bad, so there's no point. Sometimes people just like to get reactions, and if they irritate you so much that you have to go to a completely different website in order to vent, they feel like they've won.

But most importantly, anyone who is toxic without knowing it, or someone who doesn't give a shit, will not listen. Saying that it makes no sense, that it doesn't help, it's detrimental, etc. doesn't matter; they're just toxic people and it'll take more than an internet stranger to convince them to stop being toxic.
