Still trying to reconnect after over an hour and thirty minutes

I queued up for a game around 4:00 pm (EST), and it is now 5:37 pm (EST) and the only thing that comes up when I log in is "Game abandoned, you have left a game in progress. please reconnect to the game." I was unable to actually connect to the game in the first place most likely due to the server situation at the moment. I believe I was on the new server as my normal ping is around 70 but during the queue I was around 25. After a few minutes in the queue, it said I was unable to connect (my internet is working fine, though). Has anybody else experienced similar problems and does anyone have any tips to remedy this situation? I doubt the game would be going on after almost 2 hours.
