A Pessimistic View of League of Legends

I just don't get it anymore.

I played league for awhile I know video games are meant just for fun. But I feel like there is no point anymore. Other than getting champions there is 0 reward for playing.

I play ranked and last season I hit diamond on my other account. Now this account is my main because it has almost all champions.

You want to talk about late game? what about league's late game. There is literally no point except for hoping that you enjoy playing a game. It's not like diablo or some game where there is nearly endless fun. You hit the rank you've wanted for so long then you find yourself thinking who the hell cared in the first place. I got mad at trolls and hoped for good teamates for what? to get one step closer to nothing happening.

I mean let's be real practically no one is going to go pro or anything so why rank up.

I guess the custom game modes keep this game slightly more than stale but other than that what is there.

If Rito made this game more custumizable for players to play for fun it would actually be more enjoyment.

But no they have to make sure the 5v5 SR is their main "lcsplays"

I guess i just rememeber that this game was way more fun when it WASN'T competitive when people just had fun.

Now even in normals your reported for having fun

The actual incentive to rank up is to challenge yourself against better players.

The Rank system is actually a pretty positive existence as far as I can tell, "thrive for more challenges".

But then people came in and mistook it as some kind of social hierarchy system, and thus the climbing culture in LoL was born.

It's kinda like real world if you think about it (such as 1 big example, education), which is pretty darn sad since it looks like no matter where you go, the masses would just corrupt and destroy whatever that were originally good and positive.

Play for fun... I just played a ranked game in which our Thresh was dc half game, I got a lagspike and got killed by the enemy and told my team it's not worth the time playing 4v5 in a disadvantage, so it's better to let the enemy team just to fast pust and finish the game. My team told me to gtfo, we will win, report u nob, etc. In the end, I got a low priority queue for a 5 games, because of leavebuster and probably several reports. 90 % of the games in platinum are like that, if our team is not trolling, it will be the enemy team; and every game someone reports for stupid reason like picking non meta support or something equally stupid. Ranked is a waste of time... I was sure that platinum and gold are better than silver and bronze, but it's the same thing.
