OK Riot, you need to shut down Elo Boosters ASAP.

There was a time when a lot of us didn't really care because it didn't affect us, so it was kinda acceptable. While it's unfair for somebody to be boosted, at the end of the day it does not really ruin ranked for the legit players, it was just a minor annoyance.

Now things are different. We're getting spammed by friend requests from advertising bots. Now it affects every player even if they don't play ranked.

Elo boosters are going to find ways to advertise as long as their boosting operations aren't shut down. Don't try any more bandaid solutions like when you shut down the official chat rooms. It's only going to get worse as long as the actual Elo boosting continues.

You have to kill it for good. Elo boosting cannot be a thing anymore.

PS: Boards sucks because there's no section I can post this where Riot will see it. I guess I have to go post it on Reddit. Riot you're fuckin' up.

I really doubt anyone would actually click on that link and ask for elo-boosting.

To me, it's just a major annoyance to get 10 friend requests on a daily basis.

Sad Truth: Elo Boosters aren't breaking any laws. People that use their services are breaking the terms of service and that's it. In the United States there are laws against profiting from a 3rd party companies IP without compensation; i.e. Riot would be getting a cut, but sadly the majority of these companies are international.

The advertising should be the least of your concerns. I'm happy they are spamming, because the more they spam, the less Riot can just sweep it under the filthy little carpet.

People finally waking up and saying, hey wait a minute, if there is this much spam, there must be a sizable market for these services...
