Riot Server Change Concern

Okay, I'm not against the server change. Honestly I don't really care so long as everyone can play fine. But I do have a question, If the new server is supposed to be more centralized, why put it in chicago instead of somewhere like Kansas or Nebraska? That's more central than Chicago is. Even somewhere like Colorado or Iowa would have been more central. Did Riot just not want to have to move employees to those states, and just opted for another big city instead?

I just want to know why Chicago was chosen, is all.

They explained why in the main post. Chicago is a network hub.

Physical distance =/= network distance, Colorado & Iowa don;t have the network infrastructure that Chicago does
