Can you give me any Taric Tips? Its very hard to land his stun, and his heal barely does anything....

I was beyond frustrated when I tried playing him; I honestly felt the old one had a better playstyle. Point and click stun, heal which heals a significant amount (not 60 hp) etc

Sure I can try and give you some help, but just keep in mind that atm I am currently silver trash haha.

The thing with his heal is, for it to be truly useful, you have to wait for it to be at max charges (3) or else the heal is very ineffective. See his heal is an AOE, potentially a double AOE heal because of the bastion link; for it to have a heal that matches Soraka's or Nami's while also being AOE would be incredibly strong. So sadly during laneing phase mostly, it feels very weak. But just allow it to reach 3 charges if you can and it should feel stronger (Keep in mind it also scales with AP and bonus health, which is why it should feel stronger later in the game with items and whatnot).

His stun though, honestly the biggest piece of advice I can give you on that one is practice makes perfect. When the new Taric came out I was struggling to land it too, and then they nerfed it's range and width. But if you just keep playing, you'll learn to land it. Also try to keep in mind that your bastion partner also will use the stun too. So picking the perfect spot to use your stun is important since you can potentially have double the stun potential. I think the hardest part is trying to use your stun from your bastion partner. Like, if you try to use the stun linked to your bastion partner to get someone. It's hard and takes good communication, but again, just keep practicing and playing and you will get the hang of it all.

Also, I know you didn't specifically bring it up, but his ult is a game changer but you want to use it at the right time and time it properly. Use it too early and the enemy team backs off right away. Use it too late and your carries are one-shot. Just remember that 2.5 second delay. Popping it during the engage process might not be useful all the time since the enemy team will see it and try to gtfo. Save it for when you think your team might actually die unless you use it. But you have to have some prediction because of the delay. I can't tell you how many times I mis-predicted and popped a useless ult.

Sorry for the wall of text, I kind of rambled a bit, but it's only because I love Taric so much haha. I hope I was able to provide any help at all on the gem himself and like I said, keep practicing him! GLHF! Taric

Yeah damn that e is so annoying eh? And you're right the heals feel much more significant later in the game.

The ultimate was tricky but I go the hang of it. The 2.5s delay is really tricky but I think the hardest part is still his e. Godamnit I landed like two stuns last game lol.

He is probably the hardest support ATM for sure.

I used to enjoy Tariq a lot just I'm a silver scrub and I don't have e the mechanics to properly play him anymore.

Just to clarify, Bastion does NOT double the effects of a spell on any single target. All it does is make it cover more ground. If it did enhance the power of a spell, all the decision-making would be taken out of his kit because the best play would always be "stand directly next to my partner and mega-heal them".

The way it's designed allows him to instead cover two fronts simultaneously, with the option to join either the front- or back-line as he sees fit.
