If you're the random to a trolling 4-man premade, you are always "the toxic one"

Say you get set up with a 4-man premade whose only goal is to screw around, not play the game seriously, and purposefully gets their fun at your expense. You try to join in, they won't let you. You try to get them to play seriously, they harass you. You try to ignore them, they grief you.

And then at the end of it all, you're 4-man gang-reported because "You're ruining our fun, you f#cking r%%%%%!"

The best part? Riot will side with the premade because you are trying to play seriously, but they say they don't want to. All that matters to them is that the trolls were having fun and you were "trying to ruin it".

My 2 cents.

OMG I just reported this same thing and its driving me crazy!!!

So after coming back from a 2 week game ban I must say the system is utterly broken. Yes I may get upset with feeders and trolls and swear a bit, but I ALWAYS give feedback and advice on how they can improve. Yet I have been sure not to use any foul language or abuse since coming back. What I have noticed is that I am getting grouped with a lot of 4 man premades. When 1 or 2 of those decide to troll, be toxic, swear and abuse people and I say to them they are getting reported and mute them, I get at least a 4 man report. Towards the end of the game I unmute everyone again to find that I am usually being blasted hard in all chat. What happens? I get at least 4 reports from the premade.
After being back from my 2 week ban I have been very cautious of what I say in chat. I have not been swearing, being toxic or using any form of abuse. After finally opening back up my chat privileges what happens? Back on a 35 game chat restriction. Something is very broken with the new system. For a game I love and have put much time and money into I am ready to throw in the towel. The stress and frustration over being punished because a group of others want to be toxic is too much.
I will now mute everyone, use pings and never again provide positive criticism and feedback. The sad part is these people will continue to be toxic or be horrible players. Perhaps they don't understand the finer mechanics of the game or champions. I have only tried to help and give advice. Now they will be left to their own devices while many games will suffer.

And then at the end of it all, you're 4-man gang-reported because "You're ruining our fun, you f#cking retard!"

Being reported by 4 players in a match has the same effect as being reported by a single player. One report will flag the match, every excess report only serves to bring any comments that were put into reports to the attention of who will review the match.

This is a big problem in my opinion. I hate Riot's logic for people getting banned. "You are ruining the experience/enjoyment of your teammates"... Guess what? They're ruining my experience too. It's a two way street.

I had this exact scenario yesterday and got berated even though we were up 20 vs 10. I started 7/3 and they called me a noob for stealing their kills (among other things). Basically the only thing they wanted me to do was be their meat shield, do as much damage as possible, but let them get the kills. Otherwise, I got berated.

The thing that pissed me off the most was our Blitzcrank support would wait for me to get low, and when we run away, he'd pull the enemy Warwick to me so I'd die.

Halfway through, I stopped caring. And helped the enemy team win. Never attacked the enemy, helped them catch up.

Maybe people will think less of me because of this. But you know what? I'd rather see my douche-bag teammates lose than help them win. They don't deserve it.

The best part is when they lie about you. Riot doesn't know they're lying, so you're being set up for a ban.

Yup, majority of my reports come from salty premades. Just two days ago I got called a "Bitch, douchebag, and cunt" because I banned out Khazix which apparently someone in their premade wanted to play. The result was my "support" fighting to take my farm the entire game and then all of them reporting me at the end.

IMO normals should be soloque only and teambuilder should become the spot to do your premade shenanigans. No one takes teambuilder games seriously to start anyway.

Yep. Premades are often quite cancerous. What's more, they'll usually not only gang up on you with abuse and harassment (not to mention reports) but attempt to get the enemy team to report you as well. And sometimes it will work, since "well if four of them are complaining about that guy, he MUST have been toxic".

There's not much you can do about it though, alas. If I think I'm in a game with a 4 man, I just stay quiet the entire time. No matter what. Even if they talk to you. Oh, listen if they're asking you to do something that makes sense, like group up or come help with Dragon or something... but don't talk to them, don't offer advice, and don't present yourself as someone to rage at. If they're playing goofy and dumb, just accept that the game might be a loss and have fun yourself. It sucks, but think of it this way. If you were on a team of 5 randoms and all but one guy wanted to rush drag... so that one guy ignored everyone's wishes, instead pushed mid alone, got caught and died, and let them rush down mid 4v5 and take an inhib or win.... you'd blame that guy, not the team. TRY to work with the premade. Just... don't chat with them... and don't expect them to deviate from whatever dumb idea they have in mind for a silly thing like YOU enjoying the game. Try to have fun, let them act dumb if they want, and accept that there are other games. If they're toxic despite this, then report them and hope for the best. There will be other games to play. No sense getting hung up on that one.

lol 4 man premades arent even that bad.

Bresn12/6/2014, 4:21:02 PM1 votes

I had a all Top Teambuilder that was apparently 4 men premade. I was Nasus too and I didn't notice the arrangement till too late.

Pretty much got my CS trolled but meanwhile the others hang out around the map while I was busy sieging top lane, with the other team attempting to 5 men gank me and then dying everytime.

Let's just say it's painful process pushing three turrets and a Nexus by myself.

Maliginant12/6/2014, 7:24:22 PM1 votes

Truth be told, if the trolling premade isn't being toxic toward you I'd advise just trolling alongside them; after all, how often can you play veigar support? But if they decide to be toxic, just report them and move on. Don't worry about any threats they've made to report you. If you havn't misbehaved the system riot uses to punish people will just ignore their reports.

As for the chat restriction on HydroBreed, you should take that up with riot because if you've been a positive influence on the community then this restriction is a grave mistake and riot needs to know that their chat banning algorithm messed up (plus you'll get the restriction lifted).
