Can there be an 10-20% discount for buying the free weekly champs?

I love the weekly free champ rotation. Last week, for instance, I discovered that I really enjoy Viktor, so I spent 6300 ip and bought him.

Then it occurred to me that I might spend more on champs if there was an incentive to buy them when trying them out. Right now, it seems like the free rotation is just that -- hey use some champs for free this week, then see what ones you will be using next week, etc. If, though, there was a noticeable discount (both IP and RP) for going ahead and pulling the trigger on buying a champ during its free/eval week, it would make the free weeks more valuable and interesting.

I am not talking about a half-off sale or anything, just a bonus that says, "we are encouraging you to expand your catalog -- try these out and buy them for a little less if you like'em!"

Just my thoughts.

The main problem is that new champions go into the free rotation a few weeks after they are released. Most people would just wait a few weeks to get the champion at a discount then buying them straight out.

Now you could exclude new champions from this program and I think it would work.

As on topic, yes I think this would definitely increase champion sales and provide more of an incentive

Reducing the IP price would not really increase their sales, but I think it would still be a nice gift.

Maybe 5% off IP prices, and 20% off RP prices... idk economics wasn't my strongest subject, but I like the concept. Numbers would need to be calculated more than just "10% sounds good".

But yea, good idea.

they are not going to IP sales on weekly. OR ever.

Could they do a small sale on RP for those champs.... I guess since most people do not spend RP on them. Though u would have to put up real numbers to show that people would do this.

Remove RP from the sale, and I agree. Riot already does Champion and Skin RP sales every week. I don't think they'd get rid of that system. Of course, if they decided to switch the Champion RP sale to this idea and somehow keep the weekly skin sale that would be cool.
