guys is 450 usd (600ish cdn) a good deal for a used laptop alienware m17x r4 , i7-3630qm, gtx 680m, 500 gb ssd, 6 gb ram ?

Depends on who you're getting it from. If you trust whomever is selling it to you, then yes, I believe it is. Solid State Drive you say? The ram is low by today's standards, but everything else is amazing.
But seriously, I wouldn't try purchasing this from someone I didn't trust.
