Is na.op.gg's MMR checker accurate?

So I've decided that now is the time for me to start doing ranked to reach Gold V for the season rewards. I got out of bronze EZ PZ, and am currently Silver V 90 LP (I have high MMR so I've been playing mostly against high silvers and low golds this entire time, even when I was in bronze).

Yesterday I checked my MMR via this website, and the first time it said my MMR was average for the league I was in. Then I checked it again like 1 hour later (I hadn't played any games since then), and it says that my MMR is higher than average, and I might advance two divisions at once.

Then I check it this morning and it says my MMR is well above average and I will absolutely rise two divisions at once.

At first I trusted the site but after that, I'm highly skeptical. Can anyone verify if this website is actually accurate or if it's flawed?

You can get a good idea of where you are, but they don't have your real MMR, just a rough estimation. Only Riot has that information. Your MMR and the average MMR of your division fluctuates quite a bit though.

When it says "You will rise 2 divisions", it doesn't mean you will skip your promos or skip a division when you win them. It just means that you are performing about 2 divisions higher than where you are and will most likely climb.

If you want to know if you'll skip, you can look in your profile on the Leagues tab. The thing on the right that says "Get 100 points then win 2/3 games to get promoted" will change according to what will actually happen. If you are going to skip, it will say so. Your LP gains will also be very high, like +30 per win and -10 per loss.

The site might not have been updated the first time you checked it. As always, all these sites simply make educated guesses at your MMR.
