PSA: Rito won't give you your LP back

Over the years I've had issues loading into and disconnecting from games time and time again. Often after a new patch I will not be able to load in, take the L, lose LP, and get 5 leaver buster queues. It's vicious considering I have no control over this (internet is fine, computer fine, etc. The best I can do is initiate a full repair which takes 20k files and an hour of time to complete. A shame really.

Point is I've reached out to Riot describing my issue and asking to get out of LP and Leaverbuster. Every time I get the same copy paste response that they can't alter the database to do either of these things. So either they actually aren't able to, or aren't willing to do it for individuals because it's time consuming. I'm interesting in what they're going to do to deal with the widespread issue.
